Fourteen Members of Knesset from all of its factions have written to Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon and Minister of Welfare Haim Katz to significantly increase the budget for aid to the needy for the upcoming Passover holiday.

The letter says, "This budget has been significantly reduced in relation to the budget in past years, and the current budget covers only a fraction of the many costs involved in helping the needy," thus increasing the burden on the private sector, but begs the question if the public sector is unwilling, why should the private sector contribute?
