With the opening of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee policy conference in Washington, DC, as every year, anti-Semitic and pro-Arab organizations came to the area to express their protest against the Jewish conference. Large forces on the scene to protect against terrorism are keeping the activists away from the venue.
Other organizations are expressing support for Israel, and there have been several confrontations between the two groups.
