The Knesset on Tuesday evening approved a law submitted by MK Nachman Shai (Zionist Union) that would enable i24news, an international channel that broadcasts in Arabic, English and French, to broadcast to households in Israel.
According to MK Shai, "The new law serves a disadvantaged public in the State of Israel, who currently is not receiving a response to a basic civilian need. I am convinced of the professional capabilities and journalistic standards of i24news, which will now be able to provide news and current affairs to a broad public in Israel in a variety of languages.”
