Chairman Avi Roeh of the Binyamin Regional Council has sent a special letter sent to residents following the destruction of nine houses in Ofra in which he said, "Despite the painful destruction, our belief in our right to the land is strong and [well] based. No removal and no destruction will undermine our legitimacy and this right. This is our land, to which we returned after the exile two thousand [years], and despite the bumps on the road we are here to build and to be built. We will continue despite the pain to look forward and build more and more in Ofra and around Binyamin."
Roeh concluded, " and with the leadership of Ofra, we will soon strive to build many new homes, ten times as many as were destroyed."
