Just ahead of the 9:00 am scheduled start of the uprooting of nine buildings in the Samarian Jewish community of Ofra, Vardit Kfir, an occupant of one of those buildings, told Israel Defense Forces Radio, "We feel abandoned. The rightwing camp has not kept its word." She added, "We are not leaving the house. The house is ours and this place is ours."
Kfir continued, "We apparently know what the outcome will be. Nevertheless we are here to shout our shout - The land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel. The Supreme Court is not the one who will decide what belongs to whom."
