Daniel Cukierman and Yshai Oliel lost to their Portuguese opponents by identical scores of 6-2, 6-0 on Sunday to complete a Portuguese sweep of Israel in qualifying for the World Group in the Davis Cup tennis championships.
On Saturday, Portugal guaranteed that it would move on to the next round against Ukraine. Israel will try again next year if it survives its level of competition this year.
