In a joint operation by police, agriculture and health officials in northern Israel, 5.5 tons of meat from an unsupervised slaughterhouse was seized in an outlet for the marketing of meat in the city of Tamra. Another half ton was seized in the communities of Alma and Dalton.
The meat was destroyed and four people were detained for questioning, including the owner of the outlet in Tamra.
