Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has nominated retired colonel Zohar Palti as director of policy and political-military affairs.
Palti served in the intelligence administration for special roles in the Mossad intelligence agency in addition to military roles related to intelligence and terror research. If approved, he'll succeed retired general Amos Gil'ad, who has held the position since 2003.
