Police raised the security around the house of Mayor Yossi Berondi of Givat Shmuel to the highest level as a result of "a real danger to his life", according to Channel 10 Television.
At the beginning of the month, a stun grenade was thrown at Berondi's front yard. There were no casualties but the incident caused slight damage to the yard.
