United States Secretary of State John Kerry told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday that the US is taking steps at Sunday's Middle East peace conference in Paris to soften the language of any resolution it produces.
Netanyahu told Kerry that damage was already done to Israel by America's refusal to oppose the recent anti-Israel resolution at the United Nations Security Council and nothing should be added to that.
Speaking by phone from the conference, Kerry pledged to Netanyahu that no action would come out of the conference or at the Security Council, promising the US would oppose any followup proposal that could come up at the council.
