A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck 284 kilometers southwest of the Fiji capital Suva, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said on Tuesday evening.
A tsunami warning was issued for parts of the Pacific following the earthquake. So far there have been no reports of damage or injury.
