Member of Knesset Basel Ghattas (Joint Arab List) was brought to the Rishon Letzion Magistrates Court, Monday afternoon, for a hearing on a police request to extend his remand by four days.
He has been in jail since Thursday, when he gave up his parliamentary immunity and was arrested on suspicion of smuggling cellular phones to security prisoners and passing notes between prisons.
