Central district prosecution submitted today an indictment to the Tel Aviv magistrate court against 3 involved in illegal organ trafficking.
According to the indictment, the 3 were part of an organ trading ring that functioned in Israel as well as internationally. They would turn to those in need of a kidney and offer them a kidney from a live donor in exchange for large sums of money.
The indictment reads that the 3 completed 14 illegal kidney transplants in Turkey, Bulgaria, Thailand, and the Philippines.
