Following the fire at the refineries in Haifa Bay, the Environmental Protection Ministry announced that measurements taken during the last few hours indicate that pollution from the fire does not endanger the population - as a result of rain and other prevailing meteorological conditions in the area.
Nevertheless residents in Kiryat Haim, Kiryat Yam, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Bialik and Kiryat Ata are advised to avoid going outside unless it's necesary.
