Senior Ukrainian officials told representatives of the Jewish community, Wednesday evening, that the government plans an exhaustive investigation into vandalism at the tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav in Uman.
Politician Maxym Polyakov said Russia apparently made sure to send people to carry out a provocation, adding they were probably not from Uman or elsewhere in Ukraine. Earlier, Member of Parliament Boryslav Bereza said Russia's intention was to cause a split between Ukraine and Israel, after Israel took Ukraine's side at the United Nations regarding its dispute with Russia on the Crimean Peninsula.
