A Jordanian court sentenced to death a former Muslim prayer leader who shot and killed author Nahed Hattar, who was walking up the steps of the courthouse to face trial for posting a cartoon offensive to Islam when he was shot.
Jordanian officials said at the time that the shooter was motivated by anger over the cartoon.
