According to police, an Israeli business man was arrested this morning under suspicions that, when living abroad, he bribed an official in Guiana in order to promote his business.
The joint investigation was carried out by agencies in the US, Switzerland, Guiana and Israel in coordination with the OECD.
The undercover investigation was carried out after there was evidence of the suspicions of bribery and money laundering.
The suspect, if later arrested, will appear in the rishon letzion court later today.
The investigation is continuing and arrests will be made based on developments .
