Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Tuesday, "Our military force must be strong enough to repel any enemy. It must be able to take the war to enemy territory as was done during [the] Kadesh (Sinai Campaign of 1956 -ed.) and other wars, and it must be able to threaten extinction for anyone who threatens to annihilate us."
Speaking at the state memorial ceremony for Israel's first prime minister, David Ben Gurion, Netanyahu also said, "The Israel Defense Forces have become one of the leading and most powerful armies in the world. Our intelligence agencies and counterterrorism bodies are the best in the world and anyone who threatens our existence puts himself in great danger, and to that end, we are arming themselves with F-35 planes, submarines, cyber and defensive tools such as the Iron Dome, Magic Wand, etc."
