Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter of the United States will be in Israel to meet with Minister of Defense Avigdor Liberman and adress a formal ceremony to welcome the arrival of the first Israeli F-35 Joint Strike Fighters.
His visit is part of a worldwide tour that started on Saturday. Among the purposes of his trip is "the lasting defeat" of the Islamic State terror movement.
