New Israeli ambassador to Turkey Eitan Naeh thanked Turkey on Thursday for sending firefighting planes to Israel last week.
Upon his arrival in Ankara, Naeh also told reporters, "We have a history of mutual assistance in times of crisis, and I'm excited about getting started here officially." Naeh is scheduled to present his credentials to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the next few days.
