The official value of the shekel rose an average of .315 percent, Monday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.857, down .362 percent, while the Euro declined .276 percent to 4.089 shekels and the pound sterling was set at 4.7848 shekels, down .833 percent. A hundred Japanese yen rose a third of a percent to NIS 3.4341.
