As is customary for the seventh day of the Hebrew month of Heshvan, a number of gatherings of prayers for rain were held in northern Israel, according to Kol Yisrael government radio.
The drought that has hit the north the last three years is clearly felt and residents, especially farmers, are hoping for a rainy winter fix the current difficult situation in the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and water reservoirs.
