Inspectors of the national unit for the protection of the marine environment of the environmental protection ministry identified a small oil spill off the coast of Kiryat Haim near Haifa.
The spill was the caused from a leakage in an old pipe of the Gas and Energy Infrastructure company ("Tashan").
The spill happened 7 meters away from the coast. Tashan took responsibility for the spill and is cleaning the area.
