President Reuven Rivlin said, Thursday, "We must remember to be aware of the dangers that lie at our doorstep and be prepared to strike them first."
Speaking at the state memorial ceremony for those who were killed in the Yom Kippur War of 1973, Rivlin continued, "Even when the battlefield is not as it was, we cannot afford to forget the underlying military doctrine, activating troops and developing first-strike capability. The Yom Kippur War taught us not to give in to complacency."
