Ethiopian Information Minister Getachew Reda said, Monday, that groups in Eritrea and Egypt are contributing to unrest, which has led to hundreds of deaths and a six-month state of emergency, according to the Associated Press.
He said the foreign elements are arming and financing opposition groups, but not necessarily with the formal backing of their governments. Israel has issued a travel warning for various parts of Ethiopia, including areas near its borders.
