Police said, Monday, that a Syrian suspect arrested in Germany over an alleged jihadist bomb plot is probably linked to the Islamic State group, according to Agence France Presse.

Joerg Michaelis, chief investigator in the eastern state of Saxony, said explosives found Saturday in the apartment of 22-year-old Jaber Albakr were TATP, the homemade explosive used by jihadists in the Paris and Brussels attacks, in November last year and in March respectively.
