According to sources, Samsung has announced that the company will temporarily halt production their Galaxy Note 7.
The company has also issued a recall for 2.5 million smartphones.
The Galaxy 7 Note has continuously sparked fires as a result of the battery overheating while the phones charge.
Originally, Samsung replaced defective batteries with new ones, but the replacements continued to cause safety issues.
Samsung has not yet made an official statement on the topic.
