Two officers at the Eshel Prison have been dismissed following an escape attempt at the Be'er Sheva'-area facility last month, according to a Sunday-evening report by Channel 2 Television.
A security prisoner escaped his part of the prison via a ventilation chamber but was caught by guards. At the same time, an attempt was made to smuggle cellphone parts into the prison. An investigator found the incident to be a serious breach of security.
