Member of Knesset Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid) called on the Defense Ministry, Sunday, to allow wounded soldier Yehuda Hayisraeli to renovate his home for the purpose of rehabilitation, saying, "The country that sent him to the battlefield must show sensitivity and responsibility toward his rehabilitation process."
During a visit to the Samarian Jewish community of Ofra, Dr. Lavie also said the government has to act on behalf of residents of nine local homes that face demolition. She explained, ''In a state of law, we must follow the instructions of the Supreme Court but it's time for the government to wake up and take responsibility for the fate of thousands of families who, in good faith, find themselves in bona fide legal snarl. Children, young people, soldiers [and] families don't need to pay the price for failed government behavior."
