Professor Rafi Walden, the son-in-law and personal physician of Shim'on Peres, said, Thursday evening, that he was "suprised and disappointed" by Members of Knesset from the Joint Arab list who said they would not attend Peres's funeral and criticized Peres's policy and heritage.

Interviewed by Channel 2 Television, he said, "Unfortunately this time, the Arabs of Israel are losing an extraordinary opportunity to express their appreciation for the man who did more than anyone else in Israel to bring peace and love between Jews and Arabs close, within Israel as well as with its neighbors and that's a big pity."
