Speaker of the Jewish community of Hevron Noam Arnon said that Hevron Jews would mourn Peres together with the rest of the nation, despite the fact that Peres was not free of mistakes.
"Shimon Peres has a central place in the formation of the character of the State in all its periods - both light and dark," Arnon said.
