The Chinese government has been cracking down on Jewish observance in the city of Kaifeng, where Jews have lived for centuries and where a Jewish revival had been taking place, the New York Times reported.
According to the report, the government has closed Jewish outreach organizations, prohibited public gatherings for worship, and removed vestiges associated with the city's Jewish past.
