Twelve monkeys and two tortoises were transferred from a zoo in Rafah, on the Gaza-Egyptian border, to a zoo in the Samarian Palestinian Authority town of Tulkarm on Monday.
The animals were brought to the Erez Crossing at the northern end of Gaza. It's the second time in the past month that the PA Agriculture Ministry has asked Israel to help with such a transfer, due to poor living conditions, which do not allow the best proper treatment for the animals' natural needs.
