Bank of Israel Governor Dr. Karnit Flug took part this week in the annual "Money and Banking" conference of the Central Bank of Argentina, which was commissioned by the Governor of the Bank.

In her lecture at the conference, which was covered extensively by Spanish-language media, Flug described the disinflation process that Israeli economy underwent in the 1980s and 1990s, and introduced relevant policy lessons to countries such as Argentina, which face an inflation rate which reached 40 percent last year.
