Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority noted in his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Thursday, that the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, creating the modern state of Israel, is approaching. He said Britain should apologize to local Arabs by recognizing the PA as a state.
He took the UN and its Security Council to task for not pressing Israel on what it called Israeli violations of UN resolutions.
