Seventeen people were detained for questioning and identification, Thursday, after they came from Beit Shemesh to demonstrate outside the home of Chief Rabbi Moshe Havlin of Kiryat Gat.
Certain haredi-religious Jewish groups oppose his agreement with the Israel Defense Forces regarding the induction of yeshiva students. Three demonstrators were charged with a recent attack on Rabbi Havlin and his wife, while another demonstration broke up peacefully.
