Chairman Avi Dichter of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee said, Monday evening, that Hamas is planning to nominate politburo chief Khaled Mashaal to lead the Palestinian Authority after the departure of Mahmoud Abbas.
Speaking to a gathering of Likud activists in Haifa, the former head of the Shabak Israel Security Agency said, "We will not accept a situation in which Hamas will take over Judea and Samaria. Not here in the state of Israel, not while the Likud is in the government."
