The Islamic State jihadist group claimed on Monday that it was behind a spate of bomb attacks that left dozens dead in mostly government-controlled territory across Syria, according to Agence France Presse.
At least 48 people died in the attacks, according to Syrian state media. Initially, IS said it was behind one of the blasts.
