A forest fire broke out, Thursday near Highway 443 in the Modiin area, midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

Nine firefighting companies were sent to the scene. The highway was closed to Jerusalem-bound traffic from Maccabim to the Shilat Junction.
