Israel's Foreign and Environmental Protection Ministries have announced a pollution warning for the coast of Eilat, after an oil pipeline in Aqaba, Jordan spilled around 200 tons of crude oil into the sea.
The Jordanian government informed Israel of the oil spill at around 4:00 p.m. local time. Israel is in contact with Jordan, and has equipment and manpower ready to assist in the clean-up efforts.
