The Court of Arbitration for Sport announced that Russia is banned from the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, after Russia appealed the court's original decision.

The court said the decision "was made in accordance with … rules and was proportionate in the circumstances."

The Rio Paralympic Games will be held from September 7-18.
