Education Minister Naftali Bennett said, Tuesday, that there will be an emphasis on teaching English in Israeli schools this year, according to Yedioth Ahronoth.

Speaking at a special meeting ahead of next week's opening of the school year, Bennett said, "I want a hundred percent of the children in Israel to know how to speak English, know how to write an email in English [and] be hired for any job. Without English in the next hundred years, you have no chance. [It will mean] Less Shakespeare, less literary and more practical [English]."
