The Environmental Protection Ministry has summoned the owners of Haifa Chemicals South to a hearing because of an unreported leak of nitric acid at the beginning of the month at its plant in Mishor Rotem, between Dimona and the southern tip of the Dead Sea.
Another warning was sent to the company after a surprise inspection of the output of its chimneys indicated the company was not following the terms of its business license.
