Member of Knesset Yousef Jabareen (Joint Arab List) visited arch-terrorist Marwan Barghouti, Thursday morning at the Hadarim Prison in central Israel, according to Maariv. They discussed the problems of security prisoners, particularly the prevention of family visits.
After the visit, Jabareen said Barghouti believed in strengthening Palestinian Authority democracy through regularly-scheduled democratic elections for all government institutions. Jabareen was under the impression that Barghouti favorably viewed the idea of running in the next election to lead the PA, even though he is serving five life sentences for his role in terror murders.
