The Regavim movement for preservation of Israeli land and the rule of law has introduced a new initiative to provide free legal help for farmers who have had to fire in self defense against thieves. Regavim says it has received dozens of calls regarding intrusions into agricultural areas and other parts of moshavim and kibbutzim and other cases the organization is dealing with, which were the catalyst for the initiative.

The heads of the Farmers Front made it clear that police action is important but must be prompted. "We believe that when there is a place to turn to for farmers, even the intruders will eventually understand that it's not worth it to mess with them. You cannot continue to abandon Israeli farmers in the field, in every sense of the word. They protect the lands - we will protect them, and as long as the state does not do what needs to be done - we will do it."
