The Supreme Court is scheduled to hold a hearing, Thursday, on Rabbi Eliezer Berland's petition to be released to house arrest as he awaits trial for sex offenses.

In previous hearings, Rabbi Berland's  attorney argued that Berland must be released from police custody because of his problematic health. The founder of the Shuvu Banim Yeshiva was recently extradited to Israel, having fled the country when news of the case broke, a few years ago.
