The official value of the shekel rose an average of .398 percent, Tuesday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.775, down .867 percent, while the Euro slipped .04 percent to 4.2536 shekels. The pound sterling was set at 4.8987 shekels, down .293 percent, and 100 Japanese yen rose .082 percent to NIS 3.771.
