Chairman Yisrael Eichler of the Special Knesset Committee for Public Petitions has asked the Prime Minister's Office to adopt the ethical principles for public broadcasting contained in the Nakdi Report of 1972, which has been revised since then.

The United Torah Judaism Knesset member was able to turn the report into a bill which, he says, was frozen by the prime minister. Eichler expressed concern that without the ethical principles, the haredi public will be the biggest victim of humiliatin by the new public broadcasting corporation, about to start operation, as it is by many media outlets.
