Strauss announced, Monday, that it was recalling Elite's 350-gram Roladat Shokolad chocolate roll with a barcode of 7290008754613 and an expiration date of December 3rd.
The recall was prompted by consumers telling the company the cakes tasted different. Strauss attributed the taste to the yeast that was used but said it did not post a health hazard, and that the company merely wanted uniformity of taste. Strauss invited consumers to return the product for compensation.
