Jerusalem police said, Sunday, that 400 Jews and 583 tourists marked the Ninth of Av Fast by going up to the Temple Mount in the Old City.
Two of the Jews were arrested and 10 detained for violating Temple Mount regulations against the appearance of non-Muslim prayer. The Honenu legal aid organization said three of them were held for citing verses from prayer, and another for tearing his shirt, a sign of mourning in Judaism. An Arab was detained on suspicion of interfering with police.
